amec amelec is a community that integrates the Spanish manufacturers of low, medium and high voltage electrical equipment. The collaboration between our members is key to face the transformation of the sector with new strategies that go through innovation and internationalization.

We bring companies closer to the contract channel. We help our members by identifying opportunities and creating them, we are at the main international trade fairs, we facilitate contacts in the different markets and we encourage meetings with potential customers.

Who is part of us

The companies of amec amelec are manufacturers of the following types of products:

  • Distribution, metering and protection transformers, rectifiers, converters, power supplies, stabilized and power reactors. Electrical distribution. Measurement and control. Detection and automatic cut-off systems.

  • Electrical conductors. Cables and wires: industrial and domestic. Insulators and insulators. Cable conduction systems

  • Enclosures, cabinets, boxes, panels. Air conditioning of electrical equipment

Trends in our sector

Energy efficiency

Efficiency is an increasingly important factor in terms of competitiveness. In advanced countries, it is a requirement of governments and consumers. Many developing countries, hitherto more flexible, such as Singapore, China, India, the United Arab Emirates, Ecuador and Brazil, to name but a few, are already beginning to regulate.

Decentralization

The proliferation of local solar plants and advances in storage technologies are favoring a diversity of smaller, more agile energy providers, with more efficient grid supply and distribution. They are small producers that consume their own energy and sell the surplus.

Service-based business models

Product-based business models increasingly include services as an added and differential value, to the point of basing the core of their business on them: engineering, consulting and analysis services.... Users value these services more than the purchase of products that are easily replaceable.

Data-driven energy

The digitization of the energy sector has led to the development of intelligent automation, essential for managing distributed energy resources. With edge computing, devices can process data closer to where it is created.

Change in the relationship with the consumer

New technologies such as smart meters are essential to transform the relationship between customers and their energy use, helping them not only to know what their actual consumption is, but also how they can be more efficient, and even how they can make progress or prevent malfunctions.

Remote wireless transmission

Very active area of research due to its potential to provide high technology to our daily lives. The use of this technology will become more widespread and the biggest challenges are long distance wireless charging and extending its application to industry in a safe way.
