The textile solutions of the future

amec amtex groups and represents the Spanish textile and apparel machinery manufacturers. We are the loudspeaker of the sector and we work to give it a leading role on the international scene, providing tools for its competitiveness and sharing synergies.

As a full member of the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers (CEMATEX), we are owners of the ITMA trade fair.

What we do for you

We represent the sector nationally and internationally

We represent the sector, we talk to the administration and the media and we influence. We take part in CEMATEX decisions. We establish relationships with the main international interest associations and we are present at relevant international textile events.

We encourage collaboration

We facilitate spaces for interaction between companies so that they can share synergies, raise awareness of the advantages of collaboration and identify concrete opportunities for collaboration between companies.

We boost your internationalization

We support and accompany you in the consolidation and opening of markets, we study the most interesting countries in our sector, we identify the main trade fairs, we process grants, we provide you with contacts of interest in each market and we offer you access to our International Network, with extensive experience in 46 different markets.

We bring you closer to the sale

We facilitate meetings with potential clients at fairs, events or meetings specially organized in Spain and abroad.

We promote sustainability

We promote collaboration and innovation to jointly offer sustainable textile machinery in line with new market trends.

We promote the activity in the Talent field

Aware of the difficulties of finding talent, we identify profiles, we have created a Talent Working Group, we are a lobbyist in the administration and within the textile industry, we encourage future textile engineering students in the national territory. We bring the talent of the students to the companies and improve the image of the textile industry in the specialized study centers.

Who is part of us

amec amtex includes machinery for the textile industry with multiple applications:

  • Spinning: manufacture of chemical fibers, twisters, winders, auxiliary machinery.
  • Chemicals and dyes: dyeing, drying, coating, bleaching. Special effects materials.
  • Weaving and knitwear: tailoring, tufting, knitting and hosiery.
  • Textile finishing: washing, cutting, laminating, folding.
  • Digital Printing: digital printing machinery, software.

Trends in our sector

Energy efficiency and sustainability

One of the aspects on which investment is concentrated is to achieve machines with greater energy efficiency. The sector is also focused on the search for solutions that can be positioned as sustainable, CO2 reduction, water consumption reduction... In short, the production of leading machines in the price-quality-sustainability paradigm.

Process automation

Automation of machines and processes. The evolution towards the connection of machines leads us to move towards the smart factory.

New materials

The textile sector is undergoing a major change also due to the use of new materials. This leads to innovation in technology for the use of recyclable materials and technical textiles on the one hand, and for the development of Smart textiles on the other.
