The Chongqing municipal government has approved a package of policies to boost the development of the food processing industry. The measures include financial aid, incentives for technological upgrading and logistical support, effective until 2028.
The Chongqing municipal government has adopted the Yufubanfa 2026/5 measure, which introduces a set of public policies aimed at boosting the high-quality development of the food processing industry and agricultural products in the region.
The measures, known as the “New Ten Policies,” are part of the local government’s industrial strategy to strengthen the competitiveness of the agri-food sector and consolidate Chongqing’s role as a food production and processing platform.
The policy package addresses the entire agrifood value chain, from the agricultural production base to industrial processing, logistics and trade promotion in domestic and international markets.
One of the main thrusts of the program is to facilitate the technological modernization of processing companies through various financial support instruments.
