Grants from the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) to promote the protection of inventions through patents and utility models, both in Spain and abroad.
The application period begins on March 25, 2026 and ends on May 8, 2026.
They can be beneficiaries of these grants:
In all cases, applicants must belong to the private sector and meet the requirements established in the call for proposals, including being up to date with their tax and social security obligations, as well as complying with the de minimis aid regulations.
The call is structured in two different programs:
In both programs, only actions whose expenses have been incurred within the periods established in the call for proposals are subsidized.
The grants consist of financing a percentage of the official fees paid by the applicants for the different eligible procedures.
The call has a total budget of 5,300,000 euros and is granted on a competitive basis, which means that applications will be evaluated and compared with each other to determine the granting of aid.
In addition, these subsidies are considered de minimis aid, so that the total cumulative amount per company may not exceed 300,000 euros over a three-year period.
