AI in the textile industry
- September 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Hybrid Session: at amec headquarters and online
- Free
Why not miss it?
This conference aims to showthe real benefits of implementing AI in the textile industry and how companies in the sector can take advantage of the technology to improve their products and processes.
Through different case studies, we will learn about the advanced tools that have been used to optimize production processes, the challenges that have been overcome and the results obtained.
Join the session: AI in the textile industry!
Methodology
- The methodology will combine theoretical exposition, practical demonstrations and real use cases from the textile sector, encouraging active participation and interaction between attendees in person and online. During the day, examples of AI application in production processes, predictive maintenance, quality control and data optimization in textile machinery will be shown. There will also be a final space for discussion and resolution of doubts.
Program:
1.- Introduction to Artificial Intelligence in the Textile Industry
- Intelligent transformation in manufacturing. Competitive advantages.
- Evolution and trends of AI in the textile industry worldwide.
2.- Applications of AI in textile machines
- Predictive maintenance: how AI systems can predict when a machine will fail, reducing downtime and repair costs.
- Process optimization: automatic adjustment of production parameters to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
- Automated quality control: use of computer vision to detect defects more accurately and quickly.
- Collaborative robotics (Cobots): AI-enabled machines that work together with operators on specific tasks, such as material handling or textile component assembly.
Case studies of AI implementation in machinery and advanced textile manufacturing.
- Challenges and opportunities for textile entrepreneurs.
- Specific opportunities and challenges facing the textile industry with the adoption of AI.
Speaker
F. Xavier Plantà
I have collaborated as a teacher in Eurecat since the beginning of my activity, both in continuous training courses and training for companies, given in Catalonia and Spain, as well as internationally (China, Argentina, Colombia, etc.).I have participated in several books, I have developed more than 50 R+D+i projects and I have more than 12 industrial patents, of which 5 correspond to new 3D printing processes and the rest to advanced manufacturing processes. One of my lines of expertise is the applicability of industrial and digital technologies in the textile sector, providing a considerable improvement in their products and processes.
