Who is part of us

In the community of amec ascon our members are industrial companies whose customers are developers and builders, for whom they manufacture and offer the following solutions:

  • Interiors: all the elements for the bathroom, kitchen, curtains and lighting.
  • Sanitary technology: manufacturers of valves, fittings, hoses, spare parts and thermostatic mixers.
    Sanitation: fluid handling, tubes and pipes in public areas.
  • HVAC: manufacturers of heating and air conditioning systems, designed to cool or air-condition an environment and ensure correct atmospheric humidity and air purification.
  • Other building materials: siding, flooring, doors and windows, construction tools.

Trends in our sector

Digitization

Digitization in construction has enabled contractors to create 3D models of projects for coordinating the physical elements and timing of a project. Design and engineering firms are the first to see the disruption in their business, through BIM models. Agents who are not part of the data system will be at a disadvantage. Digitized objects and data can even be sold on digital marketplaces, such as BIMobject.

3D Printing

The integration of 3D printing technology will change the way we produce and make it easier to work more with details and design.

Smart technology at home

New concepts ensure maximum planning and design freedom in the home. Comfort functions, such as automatic bathtub filling or heating, or Smart Water, through fascinating choreographies with various water outlets.

Sustainability and reusable materials

The construction industry is embracing the circular economy paradigm by recovering materials. Pilot projects underway in the European Union speak of a reduction of up to 75% of all waste generated. Beyond the benefits for the environment, in developing countries it can mean reduced housing prices, ease of construction and increased competitiveness.

Prefabrication and modularization

The construction of houses from prefabricated parts and modules is one of the great changes in the sector. Among its benefits are a 50% reduction in construction time, lower labor costs and less use of materials. For its inhabitants, the flexibility of this type of construction is also an important aspect to take into account. But it also has its disadvantages. Many companies do not know how to manufacture with this model, nor do they know how to manage transport and logistics.

Design

Vintage style will continue to be a big trend in trendy bathrooms. Tiles with vivid color tones will be its spearhead. The use of wood is also on the rise: naturalness will be highly valued as long as it is achieved with materials derived from nature. The organic atmosphere will be characteristic. Although it will also favor the adaptation to more modern or industrial styles.
