ICO International
The ICO International line is intended to provide financing to the self-employed, companies and Spanish public or private entities that carry out activities or investments abroad, as well as to those domiciled outside Spain with Spanish interest. It covers both investment projects and general liquidity needs.
Dates
Operations may be formalized with the collaborating financial institution throughout the year 2026.
Beneficiaries
The following, among others, may apply for this financing:
- SMEs and large companies with international activity or foreign expansion projects.
- Exporting or importing companies that need liquidity for their international operations.
- Companies wishing to establish themselves in other markets through subsidiaries, branches or new companies.
- Companies wishing to acquire companies abroad or make productive investments outside Spain.
- Spanish foundations, associations, NGOs and other private entities with international activity.
- Companies domiciled outside Spain that demonstrate Spanish interest.
Scope
The funding may be used, among others, for:
- Liquidity needs: current expenses, payroll, payments to suppliers or purchase of merchandise.
- Technological needs.
- Investments outside the national territory.
- Acquisition of new or second-hand fixed assets.
- Passenger and industrial vehicles.
- Adequacy and renovation of facilities.
- Acquisition of companies.
- Creation of companies abroad.
Amount
Up to 100% of the client’s financing needs may be financed. The specific amount will be determined by the financial institution according to its risk criteria and the needs presented. The operation may be formalized by means of a loan, leasing or line of credit.
