Vocational training, the backbone of the green transition<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h5>

The Observatory of Vocational Training in Spain has published its 2025 report, prepared by CaixaBank Dualiza together with Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness, which identifies for the first time the green skills essential to ensure an effective ecological transition. The study, based on the OCOM-FPVERDE model, reveals that more than <\/span>60<\/span><\/b><\/span>of the country’s priority green occupations<\/span><\/b> in the country are directly dependent on VET degrees.<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>

This fact positions VET as a strategic driver of <\/span>strategic driver of productive transformation<\/span><\/b> and reinforces its key role in territorial and social cohesion. The report identifies a total of <\/span>312 green competencies<\/span><\/b>grouped into knowledge and skills, fundamental for professional development within the 60 tractor training cycles analyzed.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Green talent for industrial sectors<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h5>

The report is structured around <\/span>14 strategic value chains<\/span><\/b> with a direct impact on the green transition, including key industry sectors such as energy, construction, agri-food, waste management, transportation and manufacturing. In all of them, the adoption of new environmental regulations, process digitalization and automation are transforming professional profiles. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Among the most sought-after skills in these sectors are the following <\/span>waste management<\/span><\/b>waste management, energy <\/span>energy saving<\/span><\/b>energy saving, water quality <\/span>water quality control<\/span><\/b> and <\/span>compliance with environmental and occupational safety legislation<\/span><\/b>. These competencies are directly linked to many of the industrial activities of AMEC companies.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Roadmap for companies and training<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h5>

The study proposes an urgent <\/span>urgent curriculum revision<\/span><\/b> The company also emphasizes the importance of training cycles to incorporate these green competencies, especially in industrial sectors with high environmental intensity. It also highlights the importance of <\/span>upskilling and green reskilling<\/span><\/b> for active workers, favoring the adaptation of existing talent to new production requirements.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

To this end, it is proposed to strengthen the green dual vocational training and to develop a <\/span>transversal module on sustainability<\/span><\/b>adapted to each cycle. The objective is that both new and current professionals are prepared to take on the challenges of sustainability and improve business competitiveness. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

A just transition aligned with Europe<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/h5>
