Approval of the Omnibus I agreement<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>

The European Parliament has given the green light to a provisional agreement, reached with Member States, to update sustainability reporting and corporate due diligence rules, as part of the regulatory simplification package. <\/span>Omnibus I<\/span><\/b>. Member States are also given more leeway in defining the penalty system, with fines of up to 3% of net worldwide turnover in the event of non-compliance being maintained as a benchmark. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

The directive will enter into force twenty days after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. <\/span>Due diligence rules will be applied as of July 2029<\/span><\/b>The company will have to adapt to the new legislation, extending the adaptation deadlines for the affected companies.
