class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>The application of the rules against global deforestation (Regulation (EU) 2023\/1115) is postponed for twelve months to simplify administrative burdens and facilitate the traceability of agricultural, forestry and industrial products linked to deforestation.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-27df6803 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"27df6803\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-70aaf7e8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"70aaf7e8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><strong>Fundamental obligations<\/strong><\/h5><p><strong>Deferral until December 30, 2026 for large and medium-sized companies:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Prohibition to introduce, commercialize or export products that are not free of deforestation.<\/li><li>Obligation to exercise <strong>due diligence<\/strong> and file returns in the reporting system<\/li><li>Control procedures by the competent authorities with risk-based approach<\/li><li>Regime of corrective measures and penalties in case of noncompliance<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><br>Deferral until June 30, 2027 for micro and small companies:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Additional six-month extension for operators that are individuals, microenterprises or small companies. <strong>Exception<\/strong>: wood products, whose start date is December 30, 2026 for all company sizes.<\/li><\/ul><h5><strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><br>Legality requirements<\/strong><\/h5><p>For a product to be considered legal under these regulations, it must meet two conditions:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Cut-off date (December 31, 2020).  <\/strong>The raw materials must have been produced on land that has not been deforested after this date.<\/li><li><strong>Forest degradation (specific for wood).<\/strong>  Wood products must have been obtained without causing forest degradation after December 31, 2020. Degradation includes, for example, converting primary forest to plantation forest. <\/li><li>Operators must collect the <strong>geolocation coordinates<\/strong> of all plots of land where the raw material was produced.<\/li><\/ul><h5><strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><br>Products concerned (Annex I)<\/strong><\/h5><p>The regulation applies to products containing, having been fed or processed using seven raw materials: cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soybeans and wood.<\/p><p><strong>Main non-food products affected:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Rubber Products: <\/strong>Tires, vulcanized rubber garments, conveyor or transmission belts.<\/li><li><strong>Wood and Paper Manufactures<\/strong>: Wooden furniture and parts thereof, Prefabricated buildings, Tools, frames and handles, Carpentry works for construction.<\/li><li><strong>Bovine Cattle Derivatives<\/strong>: Raw hides and skins, tanned, parchment-treated or prepared hides (for footwear, upholstery or leather goods).<\/li><li><strong>Chemical and Industrial Products (Oil Palm)<\/strong>: Industrial fatty acids (stearic, oleic), Industrial fatty alcohols, Glycerol with a minimum purity of 95%.<\/li><\/ul><h5><strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><br>New categories of operators<\/strong><\/h5><p>Regulation (EU) 2025\/2650 introduces new categories to simplify procedures and reduce the administrative burden:<\/p><p><strong>Micro or small primary operators (MPOPs)<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Individuals, micro or small companies established in countries classified as <strong>&#8220;low risk&#8221;<\/strong> that produce raw materials in the same country.<\/li><li>They are not required to perform the full due diligence process.<\/li><li>They file a <strong>&#8220;simplified single filing declaration&#8221;.<\/strong><\/li><li>You can replace the exact geolocation coordinates with the <strong>postal address<\/strong> of the parcel.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><br>Downstream operators<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Individuals or legal entities that process, market or export products that <strong>have been previously covered<\/strong> by a due diligence declaration.<\/li><li>Their obligations have been equated to those of &#8220;traders&#8221;.<\/li><li><strong>They do not have to exercise due diligence<\/strong> or file new declarations, thus avoiding duplication.<\/li><li>Subsequent operators that are <strong>not SMEs<\/strong> are required to register in the information system.<\/li><\/ul><h5><strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><br>Compulsory registration in the Information System<\/strong><\/h5><p>Registration is mandatory:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Merchants other than SMEs<\/strong>: large and medium-sized commercial enterprises.<\/li><li><strong>Subsequent operators other than SMEs<\/strong>: those that process or export products with prior declaration.<\/li><li><strong>Authorized representatives<\/strong>: when an operator delegates its tasks to a third party.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><br>Registration requirements:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>For companies that import or export, the profile must include their <strong>EORI number.<\/strong><\/li><li>The obligation to register must be complied with <strong>prior to placing on the market<\/strong>, marketing or exporting the products.<\/li><li>Fully enforceable as of <strong>December 30, 2026<\/strong> for large companies.<\/li><\/ul><p> <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section
