The Spanish Association of Robotics and Automation (AER Automation) has formalized its membership in amec, the association for the promotion of internationalized industry. The agreement, signed by the president of AER, Carlos M\u00e9ndez, and the president of amec, Pere Relats, opens a new stage in the articulation of the Spanish industrial ecosystem and reinforces the positioning of both entities as a reference platform for internationalized industry. <\/p>

The integration of AER means that the member companies of the robotics and automation association become part of the amec community, significantly expanding its representativeness at a time of sustained growth of the organization. For amec, this membership consolidates its multi-sector model, structurally incorporating an area as relevant as automation and robotics, which is cross-cutting and strategic for industrial competitiveness. <\/p>

More representative and more influential<\/strong><\/p>

With this incorporation, amec, in addition to increasing the number of companies represented, strengthens its capacity for dialogue with administrations and national and international organizations. The automation and robotics sector, key in the processes of productive transformation, is now fully integrated in the institutional and strategic agenda of the entity. <\/p>

AER will have a voice and vote in amec’s General Assembly and will be able to participate in its technical committees, helping to define positions and priorities in areas such as industrial policy, internationalization, innovation or European projects. For companies, this translates into a stronger defense of their interests in decision-making spaces where regulatory frameworks and support programs are defined. <\/p>

New opportunities for companies<\/strong><\/p>

AER’s membership in amec opens the door for its companies to the full range of services and activities highly specialized in international competitiveness, but represents much more. It means the entry of its companies into a broad, diverse and cohesive industrial community, formed by companies that share the vocation to innovate and be present in the global market, through the exchange of experiences and collaboration. <\/p>

The members of the entity share real experiences on international markets, contrast decisions in contexts of uncertainty and generate alliances between complementary sectors, among others. Belonging to a large ecosystem of automation companies, manufacturers of capital goods, industrial technology or advanced solutions allows opportunities to multiply. <\/p>

An alliance aligned with industrial transformation<\/strong><\/p>

The incorporation of AER Automation comes in a context in which automation and robotics are indispensable axes of industrial competitiveness. The sum of capabilities between the two organizations allows to better articulate the role of these technologies within an export-oriented industry and subject to increasing demands for efficiency, innovation, sustainability and resilience. <\/p>

AER Automation<\/a>, the Spanish Association of Robotics and Automation, is a non-profit association founded in 1985 that brings together the main players in the automation and industrial, service and educational robotics market: Manufacturers, Distributors, Engineering Companies, Integrators, Technology Centers, Startups, Universities, Training Centers and User Companies.<\/p>

Its mission is to promote the transformation of the productive fabric in the Spanish territory through robotics and automation technologies, as well as to establish a strategic agenda to face the challenges of the future. In addition, it aims to provide knowledge in a transversal way to improve competitiveness and business efficiency in all sectors of demand. Finally, it aims to guarantee a fluid access of young qualified talent to Industry 4.0, also promoting the requalification of senior talent. <\/p>

AER is a founding member of the International Federation of Robotics (IFR, 1987), and since 2022 member of CEOE, representing the robotics and automation sectors in Spain.
